ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS (Botox)

Botox injections are a leading cosmetic procedure in the UK for the treatment of facial lines and wrinkles. Botulinum toxin is injected in order to prevent nerves from sending signals to the muscles, which in turn prevents contraction, resulting in the softening of the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Before your Botox treatment:

A thorough consultation takes place to discuss in depth your areas of concern. Botox is a prescription-only medication and must be prescribed by a qualified medical professional.

During your Botox treatment:

Botulinum toxin is carefully injected into the desired locations with minimal discomfort. The procedures often last no longer than twenty minutes. Optimal results are normally visible 10-14 days after treatment and are expected to last up to 4 months.

After your Botox treatment:

  • We advise that you lay on your back for the first 1-2 nights of sleep to avoid any pressure on the treated area.
  • Avoid touching and applying creams or makeup for 6 hours after the treatment to prevent infection.
  • Avoid exercise for 24 hours post-treatment, and also avoid lying down for 4 hours.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure.
  • Wear an SPF 50 daily.
Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, which the skin naturally produces to provide youthful volume and hydration. Dermal fillers mimic these effects to create more plumpness in the skin and lips, while also reducing facial lines and scars.

Prior to dermal filler treatment:

After a thorough consultation, the area is cleaned with antiseptic, and a numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment.

During dermal filler treatment:

Once the numbing cream has started to work, we carefully inject the filler into the desired locations. The procedure usually takes a short time, and results are immediate with minimal downtime. However, because some patients may experience a little swelling from the procedure, the final result will not be seen until about 3-4 weeks.

After dermal filler treatment:

  • We advise that you lay on your back for the first 2-3 nights of sleep to avoid any pressure on the treated area.
  • Avoid touching and applying creams or makeup for 6 hours after the treatment to prevent infection.
  • Avoid exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure.

Skin Boosters

The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel that has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into the skin, Profhilo stimulates skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness.

With one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo not only boosts and hydrates the skin but also remodels aging and sagging tissue. The treatment is suitable for men and women and offers skin benefits for patients of all ages.

During your Profhilo treatment:

Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle-reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin while attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.

Two treatments are required, 4 weeks apart, to obtain maximum results.

Vitamin Injections/IV Therapy

Vitamin C injections deliver pure vitamin C directly into the bloodstream via an intramuscular (IM) injection or intravenously (IV) drip. Regular vitamin C injections can enhance physical wellbeing and prevent the onset of illness, as vitamin C is a natural antioxidant that improves skin condition and protects the body against harmful agents. These agents, both internal and external, can negatively affect metabolic processes, leading to tiredness and fatigue.

Vitamin B12 is an essential compound obtained from animal-based food sources. It is crucial for the normal functioning of the brain, nervous system, and the processes involved in producing red blood cells. Sub-optimal levels of B12 can result in symptoms such as tiredness, fatigue, malaise, poor memory, and reduced mental function, commonly referred to as ‘mental fog.’

Found naturally in meat, poultry, eggs, and milk, vitamin B12 is also a key component of many oral vitamin supplements aimed at increasing energy levels. Since the vitamin is water-soluble, it quickly leaves the body through urine, necessitating regular intake. It is not harmful in high doses and plays a vital role alongside other vitamins and minerals in optimizing bodily processes.

Delivering the medicine directly into the deltoid muscle at the top of the arm dramatically increases the usable amount available to the cells in our body; this is the advantage of the intramuscular injection or intravenous drip route.
